Early sketches
Exploring forms from the one selected after multiple sketches
Selected option, now it's time to work on details
This is how it should look once it's finished
Begining of the 3D model in Solidworks.
After several hours, even weeks of modeling, most by try and error the actual model starts to look like in the sketches.
The frame looks good after some adjustments to the form, seems pretty similar to the drawing.
Modeling some commercial parts to complete the bike parts
Almost finished, getting ready to export into 3ds Max and make some renders for a better view of the design.
Some technical aspects
A force of 3925 Newtons was applied on the frame simulating a fall from 0.5 meters high when a person of 176 Lbs or 80 Kilos is using it. The results show a deformation on the midtubes about 0.7 milimiters.
